An Evening with a Champion of Change: Ms. Haben Girma
November 23rd. 2017

The Eritrean Community in Winnipeg Inc , The Newcomers Youth Educational Support Services (NYESS) and The University of MB Eritrean Student Association Youth would host a charity fundraiser, an exceptional evening with world prominent Disability Rights  Lawyer speaker and advocate,  Haben Girma.

Haben an Eritrean American, the first deaf and blind person to graduate from Harvard Law School,  advocates for equal access to information for people with disabilities. She is also  the daughter of first generation refugee and brings the memories of barriers and integration as she tells her beautiful story  of herself and family.
